Advanced Care Technician Cna

We are seeking a compassionate advanced care technician to support patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse. This role involves providing essential comfort and basic care to patients across infant, pediatric, and adult populations within a dynamic healthcare setting in the pacific northwest region.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean environment adhering to unit safety and infection control protocols.
• Deliver comfort measures and assist with patients' daily needs, including meal assistance.
• Record and communicate vital signs and observations such as temperature, pulse, weight, and fluid intake/output to supervisors.
• Clean and prepare medical equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
• Assist with patient transport as needed.
• Prepare formula in the nicu department when applicable.

Qualifications

• Act: preferred 3-6 months experience in an acute care facility.
• Act-float: preferred 1 year of acute care experience.
• Nicu department: required minimum 2 years cna experience with strong pediatric background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.
• Ability to read, speak, and follow instructions in english.
• Familiarity with electronic charting is preferred.

Education

• Must hold one or more of the following upon hire:
  • Current certified nurse assistant certification
  • Licensed vocational nurse
  • Military corpsman
  • Nursing student who has completed fundamentals including initial assessment and vital signs

Certification

• Current bls certification from the american heart association healthcare provider required upon hire.
• Nvci certification within 90 days of hire or transfer for specific departments.
• Annual continuing education credits related to work are required in lieu of licensure maintenance.
