Clear Path for Advancement! Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. You will be preparing financial statements, managing monthly close process, accountant reconciliations, financial reporting analysis, and supporting A/R and A/P transactions. This role has great potential to grow into the Assistant Controller / Controller role for the right person! Responsibilities 1. Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports to senior management. 2. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including SOX. 3. Acting as back up in support for the company's accounts payable and receivable. 4. Assisting with the creation of the annual operating plan (AOP) and financial forecasts. 5. Manage monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, and review of control activities. 6. Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement financial strategies. 7. Assisting with financial audits, and coordinating with external auditors as necessary. Qualifications 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred. 2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry. 3. Proven experience with SOX. Strong knowledge of GAAP. 4. Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Baan, or Infor will be a plus. 5. Experience assisting in A/R and A/P transactions will be a plus. 6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner. 7. Manage cost accounting activities including standard cost analysis and rollover, inventory count and reserve analysis, Capex and fixed assets activities recording.
