Senior Inventory Accountant

Senior Inventory Accounting Consultant We are partnering with a well-known global brand in their search for a Senior Inventory Accounting Consultant to support their team on an urgent long-term contract basis in Everett, WA. This consultant will work onsite 4 days per week (Fridays from home) and support key areas of inventory accounting, reporting, and process improvement. While this is not a people‑management role, they are looking for someone with leadership‑level experience who can hit the ground running. Base pay range $50.00/hr - $70.00/hr Location Everett, WA Key Responsibilities Maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory records; reconcile discrepancies and aging. Perform variance analysis, root cause reviews, and maintain inventory KPIs/metrics. Support month‑end close with journal entries, reconciliations, and GL analysis. Partner with procurement, operations, and warehouse on PO, receiving, and shipping workflows. Ensure SOX compliance and provide support for quarterly/year‑end audits. Analyze large datasets across PowerBI and advanced Excel; recommend process improvements. Handle tooling/mold inventory analysis, prepaid inventory, and ROI reporting. Support ad‑hoc inventory projects for the Controller/Assistant Controller. Must‑Have Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Senior or Manager‑level Inventory Accounting experience. Ability to operate independently in a complex, high‑volume environment (year‑end readiness). Advanced Excel skills; strong data analytics background (PowerBI a plus). Experience in public company environments with SOX compliance is strongly preferred.
