Patient Meal Service Specialist

Job Title: Food Service Associate Department: Food and Nutrition Services Location: Clifton Springs Hospital Address: 2 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, NY Hours Per Week: 12 Schedule: Weekdays 4:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m. with alternating weekends Weekend Shifts: 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Position Summary Responsible for performing food service duties related to the preparation and service of food to patients, residents, and customers within Rochester Regional Health System facilities. Key Responsibilities Assemble meals according to menu and diet specifications while following proper food handling practices. Perform duties in the dish room or designated cleaning area. Deliver food carts to and from units while maintaining excellent customer relations. Accurately deliver and refill supplies to units as required. Assist in maintaining organization of coolers, freezers, and dry storage for inventory control. Maintain work areas in a safe, sanitary, and orderly manner, demonstrating proper equipment use and sanitation techniques. Replenish workstations and supplies for the next meal or shift. Operate food service equipment safely and use personal protective equipment per manufacturer labels and SDS information. Attend and retain all staff meetings and in-service training. Represent Food and Nutrition Services professionally, maintaining good hygiene and uniform. Perform additional duties as assigned within the department. Cash handling and register use may be required. Desired Attributes Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred. Previous food service experience preferred. Strong English language skills highly preferred. Ability to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions highly preferred. Customer service driven highly desired. Minimum Qualifications NA Required Licensure/Certification Skills NA Physical Requirements Medium work: Exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
