CNC Mill Machinist |1st & 2nd Shift |Pay- $29 to $33/hrThis role focuses on setting up and operating Mills to produce low-volume and prototype parts for production and engineering.ResponsibilitiesSet up DMG Mori Seiki CNC mills for production and prototype work, completing approximately 4–6 setups per day.Perform low-volume production runs of 25 parts or fewer and support prototype machining for the engineering team.Handle full machine setup, including workholding, tooling, offsets, and program loading for mills and lathes.Make program edits using G and M codes to optimize machining operations and ensure parts meet specifications.Perform tool changes and adjust tooling as needed to maintain part quality and process efficiency.Operate manual mills and lathes as required to support machining operations and special projects.Read and interpret production and short-run blueprints to determine machining requirements and tolerances.Inspect own parts after setup and during production using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.Troubleshoot machining issues, including dimensional deviations, surface finish concerns, and tooling problems.Work with machine components and Shop Math to calculate dimensions, feeds, speeds, and offsets accurately.Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow established safety procedures in the machining department.Collaborate with a small, intimate team to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement efforts.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insuranceCompetitive 6% 401(k) match, and two weeks of paid time offThe company supports continued education through school reimbursement and offers clear room for growth into higher-level machinist roles.PTO, vacation, sick time, and paid holidaysWork EnvironmentThe role is based in a very clean, organized, and well-lit manufacturing facility that is climate-controlled for comfort and consistency.
