Accounting/Bookkeeping

Duties Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure precise financial records. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheets regularly to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies. Prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations, and account analyses in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee payroll management using systems such as ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro; ensure timely salary processing and compliance. Maintain detailed records of tax-related transactions and assist with tax preparation activities. Support internal controls by adhering to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards where applicable. Utilize various financial software tools including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and others for efficient accounting operations. Assist with budgeting processes, financial reporting, and audit preparations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and ensure data integrity. Experience Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles within corporate or governmental settings. Proven expertise in corporate accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, or non-profit accounting environments. Strong familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Experience working with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex is highly desirable. Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis accurately. Familiarity with tax regulations and experience handling accounts payable/receivable processes. Excellent math skills along with attention to detail for precise data entry and account analysis. Ability to interpret financial data confidently while maintaining confidentiality.
