Heartland Dental Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in 1,900+ dental offices. Responsibilities Oversight of a team of individuals who ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting policies. Perform detailed reconciliations reviews for balance sheet accounts monthly. Responsible for ensuring the monthly close process is executed timely and all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately. Ensure capital expenditure reporting is accurate and distributed timely. Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close reporting including preparation of footnotes with proper support. Management of process improvement initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners. Assist with system design and implementations when appropriate. Other projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting. Public accounting experience (Big 4) or large regional firm experience. CPA or CPA candidate desired. In‑depth understanding of US GAAP. Experience working with balance sheet reconciliations. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills – ability to identify discrepancies, perform research, and work toward resolution. Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
