About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll processing using Paycom. Under the general supervision of the Sr Payroll Manager this position is responsible for handling a large volume of highly sensitive employee and payroll information, including processing weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple entities utilizing Paycom. This is a full-time, hybrid remote position with occasional travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely using Paycom
• Maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and direct deposits for multiple companies in multiple locations.
• Calculate retro payments, final termination payments and/or other special payments.
• Partner with the Benefits team to ensure accurate benefit deductions and reconciliations
• Review and audit payroll data and time records for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and support year-end activities
• Research and resolve payroll issues and respond promptly to all payroll related questions from employees.
• Effectively communicate, uphold and explain payroll policies to employees
• Support payroll system updates, implementations, and project work
• Maintain current SOP documentation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Hands-on experience with Paycom preferred
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance
• Multi-state payroll and local tax knowledge
• High attention to detail; highly organized, dependable and committed to helping people.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills are required.
• Proficiency with Excel and payroll/HR systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, assume responsibility, display initiative and exercise good judgment.

Preferred Skills

• Multi-state payroll experience
• Experience with payroll or HRIS system implementations or project work
• CPP or FPC certification

Pay range and compensation package

The proposed salary range for this position is $67,500-$85,000
