Job Description – Licensing Specialist (Part-Time, Onsite) Job Title: Licensing Specialist Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) Job Type: Contract (Part-Time – 20 Hours/Week) Duration: 12 Months (Potential Contract-to-Hire) Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Preferred Work Schedule: Day Shift (Flexible 20 Hours/Week) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Licensing Specialist to support licensing operations by processing applications, ensuring regulatory compliance, performing background verification activities, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process online and paper licensing applications accurately and efficiently. Review applications to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and agency requirements. Coordinate fingerprinting and background checks while keeping applicants informed of their application status. Respond to inquiries from applicants and the public via phone, email, and in person. Record licensing fees, receipts, and maintain accurate financial records. Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and minutes for board meetings. Attend and provide administrative support during board meetings. Maintain organized records and filing systems. Order and manage office supplies. Assist with additional administrative tasks and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous administrative or office support experience. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with a State agency or government organization. Experience with licensing or credentialing processes.
