Senior Medical Device Assembler

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Device Assembler to support the assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation of implantable and other advanced medical device components in a regulated laboratory and cleanroom environment.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys precision work, solving challenges, collaborating with engineers, and helping bring innovative medical technologies from development into production.

What You'll Do

• Perform complex assembly, soldering, rework, welding, bonding, and inspection activities on medical device components
• Build prototype, development, verification, validation, clinical, and production devices
• Operate testing equipment and perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections
• Troubleshoot product and process issues using technical documentation and approved procedures
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specifications
• Complete manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and Device History Records (DHRs)
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide design-for-manufacturing feedback
• Mentor and cross-train team members while promoting quality and compliance standards
• Support equipment readiness, calibration activities, inventory coordination, and laboratory organization

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
• 7+ years of precision manufacturing experience, preferably in medical devices or another regulated industry
• Expert-level soldering, assembly, and rework skills
• Experience performing assembly and inspection under microscopes
• Experience handling ESD-sensitive components
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC certification
• Experience with welding, brazing, potting, encapsulation, or specialty adhesives
• Experience supporting process validation activities
• Experience participating in NCR investigations and corrective actions
• Experience training or mentoring others
• Experience working in cleanroom environments
