Staff Accountant

Role Title: Staff Accountant Location: Sandy Springs, GA (5 days onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent Client Industry: Medical Practice Summary: Our client is a large, established healthcare provider seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to support general accounting operations across a growing multi-location practice. This role covers full-cycle transactional accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close support in a Sage Intacct and Paylocity environment. Healthcare accounting experience is required, with physician group or medical practice experience strongly preferred. Report to the Controller with direct visibility into month-end close and financial reporting. Build your healthcare accounting specialization in a stable, recession-resistant setting. What You'll Own Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Reconcile GL accounts and bank statements. Support the month-end and year-end close process. Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting. Maintain fixed asset files and schedules and perform inventory reconciliation. Assist with payroll entries and accruals. Support forecasting and budgeting. Assist with internal and external audits and tax filings. Help document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls. Must-Haves 3+ years of healthcare accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong foundation in general accounting across AP/AR, GL, and reconciliations. Experience supporting month-end and year-end close. Fixed asset and inventory reconciliation experience. Advanced Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Nice to Have Physician group or medical practice accounting experience, preferred over hospital. Paylocity experience. Experience with a fixed asset system integrated with Sage Intacct.
