Alpha Client Implementation, Assistant Vice President

Who we are looking forState Street Alpha’s Professional Services team is looking for experienced leaders to drive our Data Collection, Configuration and Conversion practice across the Alpha platform. We’re looking for experienced professionals across front and middle office operating models, data migration, outsourcing, business architecture and project management disciplines.The practice will centralize the collection of data from our clients for implementation onto the Alpha Platform.The Conversion Managers will work closely with the implementation work streams to align with client testing needs. This will extend across multiple teams and time zones. The team will also be responsible for end to end Operational Readiness across the front the back model and ensure the testing teams .Overall collection, configuration and conversion activities convers the life span of the conversion event and is a single point of mastering and distribution for clients. This will range from cost estimation, scoping requirements and engaging with client and internal business partners to facilitating data extract set up process, organizing and leading conversion events (dry run, dress rehearsal, go live) and ensuring a smooth transition to BAU working across the different business units. The individual will be expected to coordinate and manage the activities of those involved in the conversion(s) which could be up to 5-10 individuals located in different time zones.Why this role is important to us:The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Alpha. From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping, to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, State Street tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible for:As AVP – Conversion Lead, you willCreate and implement conversion strategies to successfully migrate data from legacy platforms into State Street Alpha/middle office platforms.Coordinate and drive the deliverables of conversion planning and testing in order to meet the milestonesCreate data maps to show the flow from legacy systems to the in-house system using existing functionality and processesDrive the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology including requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenanceLead issue resolution and gap closure in terms of data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model based on the feedback providedHead all conversion events which includes some weekend activity and off hoursServe as client facing lead for all conversion related activity with client and internal business unitsServe as an SME speaking to details as required while managing multiple processesManage Conversion events like Damp runs, Dry runs and Dress rehearsals which leads up to the GO live conversionNavigate complex client relationships, build strong business relationships and manage expectations with client stakeholdersDrive our Automation and Operating Model Efficiency Initiatives in order to achieve scalability and improved resource managementWhat we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleExcellent Communication Skills with ability to effectively run meetings and collaborate across teams and functionsAbility to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work. Weekend work required.Ability to proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution.Leadership and effective management skillsAbility to engage with senior client staff across multiple workstreams and functional rolesEducation & Preferred Qualifications7+ years of relevant Financial Industry Experience required, preferably Investment Management, Asset ManagementExperience in implementation of large client onboardings with complex architecture, multiple teams and functionalities.Experience in Migration of data into Front office and middle office systems.Exposure to Charles river or any other front office systems is preferredIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project or other project management software experienceSolid understanding of Data Warehouses and Databases including SQLHigh Level knowledge or experience in Capital markets including Middle & Back Office, Securities, Bank Loans, IBOR / ABOR, Transaction Mgmt or system knowledge of Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, WSO or other is expected.Experience owning initiatives / projects related to Middle & Back Office Client On boardingSalary Range: $80,000 - $140,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
