Senior Accounting ManagerThe Senior Accounting Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Company's technical accounting function and leading a team of accounting professionals. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, drives an efficient and timely close process, strengthens internal controls, and partners closely with operational and finance teams to support the business. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance strategic thinking with execution, while developing a high-performing team.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growthProvide ongoing coaching, training, and performance management to ensure team successPromote strong collaboration and communication across the accounting team and broader organizationFinancial Close & ReportingOwn and drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timelinessContinuously improve the close process to reduce cycle time while maintaining high-quality reportingReview and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysesEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policiesTechnical AccountingLead the research, interpretation, and application of complex accounting standards and transactionsPrepare and review technical accounting memos and position papersProvide guidance on new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the organizationInternal Controls & ComplianceDesign, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reportingHands-on, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindsetIdentify control gaps and implement remediation plansBusiness PartnershipCollaborate effectively with line-of-business finance partners to support operational decision-makingProvide accounting guidance on business initiatives, contracts, and new transactionsPartner cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial representation of operational activitiesProcess Improvement & TransformationIdentify and execute opportunities to enhance accounting processes, systems, and workflowsDrive adoption of best practices and automation to improve efficiency and scalabilityLead or support system implementations and process transformation initiativesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred)8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experienceStrong technical accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP required)Proven leadership experience managing and developing teamsDemonstrated ability to manage and improve the month-end close processStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organizationHands-on, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindsetExperience with ERP systems and process automation tools is a plusPromotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among team membersTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
