Company Description Patrick Henry's Red Hill is operated by the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to education and historic preservation. The foundation promotes a deeper understanding of American history by supporting scholarship and conducting educational programs related to Patrick Henry and the Revolutionary era. It serves as the steward of the Patrick Henry National Memorial at Red Hill, preserving the site and its historical significance. As part of its mission, the foundation maintains and interprets the lives of all who lived at Red Hill, including both enslaved and free individuals, to present a fuller historical narrative. Patrick Henry’s Red Hill is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper working ON SITE who will serve alongside the Chief Executive Officer and staff in four essential functions: Operations – Vendor and contract management and office equipment management to ensure the efficient functioning of the office at Red Hill. Human Resources/Management – Staff scheduling and compensation, payroll, and benefits, interviewing and hiring for part time positions, managing several full-time staff and contract workers will be part of the day-to-day duties of this position. Finance – This position requires all the bookkeeping, budgeting, and providing information for financial statements for Red Hill, as well as working with audit. CEO Assistant –The CEO will require additional tasks to be completed on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will have: ability to adapt to new environments and a willingness to learn proven track-record of leadership and trustworthiness strong verbal and written communication skills thorough attention to detail the ability to articulate enthusiasm for Red Hill’s mission and values Work requirements will include: ability to work some weekends, holidays, and special events proficiency in Microsoft Office ability to lift 20 pounds and stand for extended periods of time university degree or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: proficiency in technology including QuickBooks and Square coursework or equivalent experience in fields such as accounting, finance, business, human resources experience working or volunteering for a nonprofit Salary & Benefits $37,000-$45,000 salary range Medical, dental, and vision insurance (all premiums paid by the Organization) Generous paid vacation and sick leave Professional development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
