Performs a live, entertaining cooking show in front of guests./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliPrepare and cook food in at hibachi tables in the dining room and in front of guests./liliEnsure Company recipes are made to specification./liliPrepare food to Company specification./liliMaintain proper par levels of food./liliMaintain proper rotation of food./liliEnsure that meat yield sheets are completed daily./liliAssists with scheduling of other chefs./liliRecruit new chefs./liliTrain and develop new chefs./liliCoach performance of new and current chefs./liliMeet budgeted food cost./liliMeet budgeted labor cost./liliResponsible for achieving and maintaining an A from health department./liliResponsible for the completion of the New York City Food handlers Certification within one month of being hired. The position requires live performance in front of guests while preparing food. There are many hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors. Work is normally performed in a restaurant/catering work environment in front of a live audience of guests. High stress and fast-paced environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods as well as walk, bend and stoop. The position requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspects, including close and distance vision.
