Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning and consistently\n produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality.\n 3. Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems\n expediently.\n 4. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when\n dealing with customers.\n 5. Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient’s rights in all interfaces with\n patients.\n C. AREAS OF EMPHASIS\n 1. Administers oral contrast as needed per exam.\n 2. Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assists\n Radiologist during procedures.\n 3. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation if all x-ray equipment, CR and\n DR systems.\n 4. Reports equipment malfunctions to manager or lead.\n 5. Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures\n to department advantage-assisting others, clerical duties, stocking, transporting, etc.\n 6. Employee understands his/her role on maintaining medication security to authorized\n personnel only.\n 7. Demonstrates competency in providing health care services in own job category to all\n age groups.\n 8. Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups.\n D. DOCUMENTATION/INFORMATION MANAGEMENT\n 1. Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital information System (HIS), Radiology\n Information System (RIS) and PACS.\n 2. Participates in hospital performance improvement activities (BPI projects, task forces,\n etc.) when warranted.\n 3. Demonstrate confidentiality using own password and all patient care modules.\n 4. Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel\n in other areas of the hospital while maintaining good phone etiquette.\n Requirements:\n BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)\n Two (2) years experience\n Licensing in the state of NY\n Day 1 Dental, Health, Vision insurance.
