Maintenance/CustodianThe Maintenance/Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. This is a part-time SUMMER ONLY position located in Far Rockaway.Essential FunctionsClean offices and recreational facilitiesMop tile and concrete floor area, Vacuum all carpeted areaWash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers and fixturesClean all mirrors, and replenish toilet tissue and soap as neededEmpty all waste baskets and garbage cans and place garbage in outside storage binClean entrance and exit including glass, doors and hardwareKeep outside area near exit and entrance clear of snow, cans, paper, etcPerform and/or report minor maintenance repairsReport damages and acts of vandalismWash and buff floors with floor polisherPerforms other related duties as assignedHoursSaturday-Sunday | 3:00pm – 8:00pmQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalencyAbility to lift up to 20 poundsThe Child Center of NY is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
