Principal OT Systems Engineer - Columbus, OH

Abbott seeks a Principal Systems Engineer in Columbus, Ohio to develop, deploy, and maintain manufacturing operations data systems across the nutrition division's regional supply chain. The role involves technical consulting, system governance, and cross-functional collaboration to support manufacturing operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manufacturing operation data systems including hardware and software infrastructure
- Deploy manufacturing operations data systems as part of capital project delivery teams
- Establish regional standards and guidelines for system implementation and governance
- Lead manufacturing software system validation processes for regulatory compliance
- Interface with process experts, IT, and operations to integrate data systems and ensure audit effectiveness
Requirements
- Experience with data historian and visualization systems (OSI PI, Analytics, Vision, SEEQ)
- Proficiency in manufacturing control and HMI systems, particularly Ignition
- Knowledge of software change management and asset monitoring platforms
- Understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and manufacturing software validation
- Experience integrating manufacturing operations data systems with MES and IT infrastructure
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Expertise in SQL databases and inspection system software
