Quickbooks Bookkeeper

Job Description Job Description We're looking for an experienced, hands-on bookkeeper to catch up and maintain financial records for two companies in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The books are several months behind, and there is an upcoming tax filing deadline, so the first several weeks will involve concentrated, full-time catch-up work. Once current, the role settles into a steady part-time schedule (~10 hrs/week) to keep both companies' books up to date.

MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH QUICKBOOKS

BACKGROUND CHECK AND REFERENCES REQUIRED

Responsibilities Reconcile bank and credit card accounts across multiple accounts for two separate companies in QuickBooks Online Clear and categorize backlogged transactions from bank feeds Identify and correctly resolve inter-company transfers to avoid double-counting Reconcile books month-by-month, oldest to newest, until current Flag unresolved or unclear items appropriately (e.g., in an \"Ask My Accountant\" category) rather than guessing Maintain organized, audit-ready records going forward Communicate clearly and proactively about progress, questions, and discrepancies Requirements Demonstrated, practical experience with QuickBooks Online — comfort with bank feeds, reconciliations, and multi-account bookkeeping is required, not just familiarity Prior bookkeeping experience across more than one company/entity required Strong attention to detail and comfort working independently Available and committed to a full-time schedule (40 hrs/week) for the initial 3–4 week catch-up period, before transitioning to ~10 hrs/week Reliable, in-office availability in the Birmingham, AL area #J-18808-Ljbffr JROK Inc
