Engineering Lead

Salary: $105,000 - 155,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• We expect at least 5 years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership and people management.
• We need a track record of coaching engineers, leading teams, and delivering business-critical software products.
• We look for strong experience in software architecture, legacy application modernization, and enterprise application development.
• We require experience building RESTful APIs, web applications, relational databases, and working with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• We expect experience improving CI/CD pipelines, source control, deployment automation, and release management using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, Gradle, Ant, or similar.
• We need experience with cloud-hosted systems, containerization, monitoring, observability, and production support.
• We require a solid understanding of secure software development, including OAuth 2.0, authentication, authorization, API security, and data protection.
• We need the ability to learn and support Progress OpenEdge ABL; prior experience with Progress OpenEdge is strongly preferred.
• We expect experience partnering with Product, UX, QA, Support, CloudOps, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• We strongly prefer experience adopting or leading AI-assisted software development workflows.

• We will lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers through regular one-on-ones, performance feedback, career growth support, and mentorship.
• We will guide the modernization of ClearTrack and MTSS Edge while maintaining stability for existing customers.
• We will foster a collaborative engineering culture built on accountability, shared ownership, and continuous learning.
• We will contribute directly to software architecture, design, development, code reviews, production support, and technical troubleshooting.
• We will document and broaden application architecture, business rules, and product knowledge to reduce silos and improve long-term maintainability.
• We will strengthen engineering practices by improving CI/CD pipelines, testing approaches, release workflows, automation, observability, and secure development.
• We will drive architectural decisions involving APIs, web applications, data access, cloud technologies, and infrastructure modernization.
• We will partner with Product, UX, QA, Support, CloudOps, and other engineering groups to prioritize work, manage dependencies, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• We will lead technical response efforts for production problems and customer-impacting incidents through investigation, communication, and resolution.
• We will champion practical AI-assisted development across planning, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while measuring team effectiveness and outcomes.
