Travel Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist)

Location: California

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist) for a travel assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures while delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following department protocols and physician orders.
• Conduct studies including OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts, vascular, carotid artery, DVT, renal artery, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsy-related imaging procedures.
• Accurately document patient information and imaging results within the EMR and PACS systems.
• Maintain equipment functionality and ensure quality imaging standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Sonography experience.
• Current ARDMS certification required.
• RVT certification preferred; vascular ultrasound experience highly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care or hospital-based imaging departments preferred.
• Ability to perform a broad range of ultrasound examinations independently.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
