Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering regular and stable days. As an essential member of the team, you will accompany the student on the bus to and from school, ensuring their safety and comfort, while supporting them throughout the school day. The student is part of a classroom environment supported by both a paraeducator and a special education teacher, which means you’ll collaborate closely with other skilled professionals committed to positive student outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in school settings.
• Strong understanding of working with individuals with high needs or special education requirements.
• Patience, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and teacher direction.
• Willingness to ride the bus daily with the student as part of the job.
• Flexibility and a student-centered approach to challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support and supervision to the student during classroom and bus activities.
• Implement and reinforce learning strategies as directed by the special education teacher.
• Assist with daily tasks and personal needs as required.
• Encourage student participation and independence in academic and social activities.
