Job description

We are a busy, multi-carrier insurance brokerage agency. We partner with 20+ top disability and life insurance carriers. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual insurance case manager to join our IRA Brokerage team. In this role, you'll manage individual insurance applications from start to finish, helping ensure a smooth process from submission to issuance and beyond. You will also serve as a key point of contact, coordinating clear communication between agents, carrier partners, and our internal marketing team. Responsibilities

• Review and process new disability income and life insurance applications, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documentation, identifying and preventing errors before they impact workflow.
• Support the underwriting process by tracking new business applications from submission through approval.
• Handle processing of policy service requests, including reinstatements and conversions.
• Manage confidential information, including ordering, reviewing, and tracking medical records and other sensitive documents.
• Enter and maintain application and policy data in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with insurance carriers, agents, and internal teams via phone and email.
• Generate reports, monitor follow-ups, and provide updates to support efficient case management.

Qualifications

• Active Life and Health License in the state of Michigan.
• Required - 2 years of experience working in the life insurance industry, preferably on the individual side.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience handling multiple applications and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
