Employment Type: Full time | Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Responsibilities As a nurse, you can never expect any day to be the same on this unit. We care for a wide variety of surgical patients, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, bariatric, plastics, colorectal, and surgical oncology. Patients typically stay 2–4 days on our 32‑bed unit, all private rooms. The fast‑paced environment provides opportunities to develop prioritization, critical thinking, and other skills beyond nursing school, and offers training toward becoming an ICU RN. Leadership opportunities include charge nurse responsibilities and participation on unit‑based committees.
