Firestone engineers air springs and related products for commercial trucks and trailers, cars, sport utility vehicles, light trucks, mini vans, motor homes, buses, agricultural equipment, rail and industrial applications.Job CategoryProduction & Skilled TradesPosition SummaryManufacturing Production manages or assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including:Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume / cost / wastage targets, and quality standardsLiaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resourcesPlanning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance / downtime to minimize disruptionsResponsibilities• Supervises support roles with responsibility for performance review/management and training • Sets day-to-day objectives, organizes workflow, provides guidance, and supports achievement of goals for team • Leverages prior experience to solve issues using latitude of existing guidelines, also recommending changes within specialization policies/procedures • Works closely with specialization manager • Communicates regularly with management and infrequently with executive leadership • Other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; OR 3+ years of relevant experienceWhat we offerAt Bridgestone, what really matters is to foster co-creation opportunities and empowering you to be creative and curious to make mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable for future generations.
