As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll work in-person to help students reach their greatest potential, designing and delivering individualized instruction and resource support. Your commitment will make a significant impact from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027. This is a fantastic chance to refine your skills, connect with dedicated colleagues, and truly make a difference.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) is required (please be prepared to provide a copy upon request)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in instructional or resource settings is highly desired
- Deep understanding of IEP processes, modifications, accommodations, and differentiation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Positive approach to diverse student needs
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement specialized instruction and resource support for students with varying needs
- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff
- Track and analyze student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed
- Serve as an advocate for students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
- Maintain clear documentation and comply with state and federal education requirements
