OB Hospitalist - Freeport, IllinoisOpportunityThe facility is currently seeking an OB Hospitalist candidates in Freeport, Illinois. With a start date of October 1. Several available shifts throughout October. Providers are permitted to leave the facility during call shifts with a 20-minute callback requirement, provided no patient is in active labor. When a patient is actively laboring, the provider is required to remain in-house.Seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Obstetric Hospitalist to join their team in Freeport, Illinois. This role involves 100% inpatient care, covering labor and delivery, including C-sections, and collaborating with the Northwest Regional Perinatal Center. The position offers a supportive environment with no call duties and a focus on providing exceptional patient care.Practice Info Full-time 100% Inpatient Partner with our Northwest Regional Perinatal Center and Level III NICU in Rockford, IL Responsibilities include covering labor and delivery, including cesarean sections Vast multi-subspecialty referral sources No Call! EPIC EMRResponsibilities Cover labor and delivery including c-sections Inpatient rounding and dischargingShift & Schedule Eight - 24-hour shifts per monthRequirements Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program Must have at least three years of inpatient experience MD/DO board certified/board eligible Skilled at providing exceptional care The ability to communicate clearly and work as a member of a teamWhile on call, providers are asked to stay in the onsite call room, which includes: Private bathroom and shower Double bed Smart TV Computer workstation Microwave RefrigeratorOur Facility: 7 room LDRP 1 OR on the floor Circs a plus if they perform Cover outpatient calls after clinic hours Cover OB floor and GYN emergencies that come through the ED Level 2 facility # of beds: 7 room LDRP Total patient census / volume per shift: 1-3 Support team / other OBs there: Only one OB Hospitalist is scheduled per shift. If a first assist is needed for a C-section, support is available from General Surgery or, when available, the clinic-based OB provider. Pediatric providers are also on call and have a 20-minute response time.
