What To Expect
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Designer, Energy Projects to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and planning energy projects, including solar, storage, and EV charging systems, for commercial, industrial, utility, and government clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Project Designer, Energy Projects will play a vital role in delivering innovative and sustainable energy solutions. What You'll Do Design and plan energy projects, including solar, storage, and EV charging systems, in accordance with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelinesParticipate in project meetings and conduct site assessments to evaluate feasibility, determine optimal system configurations, and ensure successful project outcomes Develop detailed project proposals, including system layouts, equipment specifications, and cost estimatesKeep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in energy system designEngage in regular communication with clients, vendors, Utilities, AHJs, and contractors to facilitate project execution; collaborate with Engineering and Constructions teams to ensure design feasibility and complianceProvide technical support during project implementation, including responding to design and engineering-related inquiries and addressing design modificationsPerform energy simulations and analysis to optimize system performance and energy generation, document project design details, specifications, and changes for reference and future analysis What You'll Bring Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy or equivalent experienceProven experience in designing energy projects, preferably in the solar, storage, or EV charging industryProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools to create accurate and detailed drawings, with strong understanding of energy system components, electrical line diagrams, and construction plansFamiliarity with energy modeling software and simulation toolsKnowledge of national and local electrical codes, regulations, and industry standardsStrong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesCreative thinking and a passion for sustainable energy solutions Benefits
