Cardiac Cath Lab - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read strips.

Unit Details: Typically 1:1 staffing, averaging 4-20 cases per day. Common patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral cases. Cath lab is separate from IR and EP. Occasional drip titration. Uses GE and Philips monitors and McKesson. Regular cases are staffed by 1 RN and 2 RTRs; call teams are 4-person. Charge nurse serves as a resource and coordinates cases and field calls; when on call, the RN acts as charge nurse.

Shift & Scheduling: May need to stay over to complete emergent cases. 6-8 weeknight call shifts per month, including primary and backup call. Every 6-7 full weekend, starts Friday at 5:30pm and ends 0600 am on Monday morning. Additional backup weekend circulator shifts for emergent cases are 24 hour shifts and happen on average once/month. Holiday call includes an Easter backup call shift.

Floating Requirements: Does not typically float, but may assist in IR if experienced.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
