Cardiac Cath Lab - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: - Ability to read strips.

Unit Details: - Common diagnoses/types of patients: STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital, TAVR, MitraClip, peripheral. - Occasional drip titration. - Uses GE and Philips monitors and McKesson. - Call teams are 4 person; regular cases are 3 person (1 RN and 2 RTRs). - When on call, the RN acts as charge nurse. - Typical staffing/case volume: 1:1; 4-20 cases/day.

Shift & Scheduling: - May work over to get all cases completed if emergent cases come up. - Weeknight call: 6-8 call shifts/month, including primary call and backup call. - Weekend call: every 6-7 full weekends, starts Friday at 5:30pm and ends 0600 am on Monday morning. - Additional weekend backup/circulator shifts for emergent cases are 24 hour shifts and happen on average once/month. - Holiday call: Easter backup call shift.

Floating Requirements: - Does not typically float, but may share to IR if the clinician has IR experience.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
