Volt is immediately hiring Accounts Payable Coordinator in Newport News, VA.

As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will:

• Be comfortable with researching vendor invoices and purchase orders to determine the correct PO for application and payment
• Be comfortable with ensuring proper imaging of invoices and supporting documentation before processing
• Be comfortable with entering invoice information into Client's imaging system with accuracy and attention to detail
• Be comfortable with identifying and resolving exceptions through advanced research and critical thinking
• Be comfortable with partnering with branches, buyers, and vendors to obtain missing or corrected information
• Be comfortable providing customer service to internal and external partners
• Be comfortable with reviewing invoices for duplication and compliance with AP policies and procedures
• Be comfortable with supporting close activities including Month-End, Mid-Year, and Year-End

This is a full time, contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Accounts payable experience (2–3 years minimum)
• Invoice review and verification for inventory and expense-related invoices (2–3 years)
• High-volume invoice productivity (2–3 years)
• Accounting background (2–3 years)
• Understanding of PO processes, invoice matching, and basic accounting principles
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to research and interpret data
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with inventory, cycle counts, and resolving receiving/shipping discrepancies
• Advanced problem-solving concerning purchase order research
• Oracle experience

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
