The Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide vital therapeutic services as part of our innovative team. Work Environment\n

You will work primarily remotely, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while still being part of a close-knit, supportive team. This role is designed to accommodate the various needs of clients and families, with therapists providing services during optimal hours, such as after school from 4 PM to 7 PM. Weekend availability is a plus, reaching out to families when they need assistance the most. Our team prioritizes collaboration and communication, utilizing virtual tools to maintain close connections and ensure effective delivery of therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in clients' homes or through our outpatient center, where you will engage with clients in a familiar and comfortable environment.

• Implement anger management techniques and develop coping and social skills to address high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Assist youth and caregivers in making informed decisions to effectively address and manage behavioral challenges within their homes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals to create a comprehensive support network for each client.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes as required by clinic standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to review cases, share insights, and contribute recommendations toward patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is deeply rooted in supporting a diverse population of children aged 3-20 who experience a range of developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your efforts will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for these children and their families. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of California.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during essential evening hours, with preferred flexibility on weekends.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle to facilitate travel to client locations.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support, with a proven track record of implementing successful interventions.

• Previous work with children and youth with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is preferred.

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a significant asset, enhancing communication with a broader client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
