Maintenance Technician 3PM - 11PM - Reikart House

Job Description

Job Description

Reikart House, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel – Amherst, NY

Exceptional. Unique. Independent.

At the Reikart House, every day is a performance - and every ambassador plays a role in telling our story.

Our guests may never see every repair you make, every system you maintain, or every problem you solve behind the scenes. But they experience the results every single day.

Whether it's a perfectly functioning guest room, beautifully maintained grounds, a welcoming lobby, or a guest issue resolved with urgency, our Maintenance Team quietly creates the foundation that allows exceptional hospitality to happen.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and understands that every repair contributes to the guest experience.

Why Reikart House?

Our goal is simple: To make a difference in people's lives through service.

Guests don't remember every interaction they have during their stay-but they absolutely remember how their room felt, how the building was cared for, and whether everything simply worked.

At Reikart House, every ambassador contributes to that experience.

Maintenance isn't just fixing things. It's protecting the story we're trying to tell.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Takes pride in doing quality work the first time
• Enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems
• Notices the little things others overlook
• Works well independently while also being a dependable teammate
• Responds quickly and professionally when guests or teammates need assistance
• Understands that preventative maintenance is just as important as emergency repairs
• Treats the property like it's their own home
• Believes every repair helps create a better guest experience
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to jump in wherever needed

What You'll Do

• Assist with painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and cosmetic improvements
• Identify maintenance concerns before they become guest issues

• Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences

The Ideal Candidate Is:

• Experienced in hotel, apartment, commercial building, or general maintenance (preferred but not required)
• Comfortable using hand and power tools safely
• Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and organized
• Able to prioritize multiple projects throughout the day
• Friendly and professional when interacting with guests
• Willing to learn and continually develop new skills
• Available to work occasional weekends, holidays, or emergency situations as needed

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, bend, crawl, and reach throughout the day

Why You'll Love Working Here

At Reikart House, you'll be more than just a maintenance technician.

You'll be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together, takes pride in the property, and believes every role matters.

We invest in our ambassadors, celebrate great work, and believe the best hotels are built by people who care.
