Check out this new opportunity!Business Development RepresentativeAdditive Manufacturing | Metal 3D PrintingOn-site in City, State Competitive SalaryWe are hiring a Business Development Representative in Huntsville, AL, to drive new business growth in industrial additive manufacturing, metal 3D printing, and Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF). This role focuses on identifying prospective customers, developing sales opportunities, conducting technical discovery, and building relationships across space, aerospace, defense, high-tech aviation, and advanced manufacturing markets.This position combines inside sales, business development, technical sales, marketing, and market research responsibilities. You will identify high-potential applications for LPBF metal additive manufacturing, engage technical stakeholders and decision-makers, develop early value propositions with internal engineering teams, and prepare initial cost and schedule estimates for qualified manufacturing opportunities.Responsibilities:Identify and target high-potential companies, customers, and applications for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) and metal additive manufacturing solutions.Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, professional networks, and marketing campaigns.Build relationships with prospective customers, technical stakeholders, and key decision-makers.Schedule and conduct introductory meetings, presentations, and customer discovery sessions.Assess customer manufacturing challenges and identify viable applications for LPBF metal 3D printing.Conduct market research to identify emerging additive manufacturing opportunities, industry trends, and customer needs.Identify strategic partnership opportunities with complementary companies and industry organizations.Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking activities.Collaborate with Application Development and Process Development teams to create early-stage technical and commercial value propositions.Qualify sales opportunities against defined technical and business criteria.Present qualified opportunities and recommendations to management.Prepare preliminary cost and schedule estimates once prospective customers provide sufficient part and production requirements.Coordinate the transition of qualified opportunities to internal teams and align stakeholders on next steps.Support sales and marketing activities as needed within a small, collaborative organization.Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or business management, or a proven track record of relevant business development, technical sales, or industry experience.Experience building and managing prospective customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.Ability to understand customer manufacturing challenges and translate customer requirements into potential technical and commercial solutions.Experience conducting customer discovery, presentations, business development meetings, or technical sales discussions.Project management skills with the ability to coordinate opportunities across customers and internal technical teams.Ability to independently develop opportunities while collaborating with engineering, technical, sales, and management teams.Ability to travel up to 5%.Preferred Qualifications:Technical bachelor’s degree.Veteran status with military mechanical or electrical training.Experience in additive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, metal 3D printing, or Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF).Experience supporting business development or technical sales within space, aerospace, defense, aviation, or other demanding industrial markets.Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled EmployerWhat to ExpectMoseley Technical Services, Inc.
