WELLNESS COORDINATOR

Beacon Hill at Eastgate is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to passionately plan, coordinate and implement a variety of wellness activities for our residents. Beacon Hill is beautiful Continuum of Care Retirement Community (CCRC) which includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. We are looking for a new team member to help carry out our vision "daily discovering the fresh potential of each life in our residential senior community and sharing these discoveries to enrich our neighborhood..." Shift: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, 11:00 am – 7:30 pm, and 10am-6:30pm. Job Type: Full-time with required weekend and holiday rotation Wage: $17-20/hr Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in the fitness field (bachelor’s degree in health fitness, recreation, physical education, sport management or parks and recreation & leisure studies, related field experience preferred). Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relations with faculty, staff, work associates and program participants. Previous experience with group fitness instruction Excellent organizational and communication and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire individuals and groups. Ability to work remotely from multiple locations within the facility. Comfortable leading/presenting to large groups. Certified in First Aid and CPR (willing to obtain within 90 days of hire). Must be able to lift 50lbs. Available to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Responsibilities Provides assistance for the resident recreation fitness program that includes group wellness and wellness & Life Enrichment special events. Coordinate wellness related special events. Collaborates with multiple departments. Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of fitness facility spaces. Provides fitness floor supervision during wellness activities. Assists with staff fitness training opportunities. Assist in developing recommendations and implements new classes, programs, and activities. Leads instructional courses as assigned. Develops and leads Wellness focused activities and Special Events. Assists with resident outings. Serves as an evening and weekend facility team member as assigned. Serves as a substitute for instructors as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
