Position Overview 1.0 FTE Grade 4 teaching position to work with students at Hayes Elementary School. Essential Job Functions Responsible for creating and delivering an effective instructional program for assigned students Responsible for establishing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assisting in the same throughout the building Responsible for assessment of student progress Responsible for collaborating with the teaching and learning department, principals, parents, IB coordinators, other staff, and professional learning communities to ensure student needs are being met Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong desire and commitment to working with diverse students and staff Applying current trends and data in the field of behavior interventions and support Utilizing standardized assessment tools Effectively collaborating with a team Constructively communicating with parent/guardian and team members Qualifications Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited Minnesota Department of Education teaching license required for specific assignment Minnesota READ Act Professional Development Requirement In compliance with Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) guidelines, all Phase 1 licensed teachers in Minnesota must complete one of the three approved evidence‑based reading professional development programs by July 1, 2026. Bargaining Unit Teachers Salary Range BA, Step 1 at $51,599/yr to PhD, Step 17 at $111,313/yr, placement will vary depending on education and experience.
