About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer to take on a Contract leadership role, providing senior oversight of core accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting activities. This includes directing the preparation and review of financial reports, overseeing balance sheet account reconciliations, and managing fixed asset accounting. The role also involves providing day-to-day leadership for a large accounting team, addressing operational gaps, and applying technical accounting judgment in various areas. Applicants for the Chief Accounting Officer position at the company must have a Certified Public Accountant designation and prior experience in a senior accounting leadership role. A background with a Big Four accounting firm is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of technical accounting, be adept at balancing hands-on execution with strategic oversight, and have a proven track record of effectively managing large accounting teams. Proficiency with enterprise accounting systems is required, and the ability to stabilize accounting operations during an interim assignment is essential. The role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong risk assessment skills, capable of strengthening financial controls and delivering accurate reporting in a fast-paced service environment.
