Accounting AssistantWe are partnering with an organization in the Atlanta area seeking an Accounting Assistant to provide administrative and transactional support to its accounting team. This hybrid role is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional looking to build accounting experience in a collaborative environment.The Accounting Assistant will support accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and general accounting activities while helping maintain accurate and organized financial records.Responsibilities:Enter invoices, payments, journal entries, and other accounting dataAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processesPrepare and maintain accounting records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentationReconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accountsAssist with billing, cash applications, and payment processingSupport month-end and year-end close activitiesResearch and resolve basic accounting discrepanciesRespond to vendor and internal accounting inquiriesPrepare reports and documentation for management and auditsMaintain accurate electronic and physical filing systemsProvide administrative support to the accounting and finance teamAssist with special projects as neededQualifications:Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferredBasic understanding of accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plusStrong attention to detail and data-entry accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
