Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/GI

Job Summary:

The Endoscopy/RN Travel Nurse provides specialized nursing care in a busy endoscopy unit, supporting advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS. This role ensures high-quality patient care before, during, and after endoscopic interventions, working collaboratively within a skilled team.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and administer patient care for endoscopy procedures, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Assist and circulate during advanced procedures including ERCP, EUS, and robotic bronchoscopy.
  
  
• 
  Operate and troubleshoot equipment such as Olympus scopes, OER elite washer, and ION robot, maintaining strict infection control standards.
  
  
• 
  Document patient interactions and procedural data accurately using Meditech Expanse and Provation systems.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and efficient workflow.
  
  
• 
  Float to other units, including ambulatory surgery centers, as needed, maintaining flexibility and professionalism.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current RN license with at least 2 years of acute care experience, including endoscopy or similar specialty.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to perform advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP and EUS.
  
  
• 
  Proven proficiency with endoscopic equipment and procedural documentation systems.
  
  
• 
  Strong critical thinking skills and ability to handle complex patient cases.
  
  
• 
  Ability to adapt to floating assignments across different facilities and units.
