Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule: Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 48.00 hours per week

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required
• At least two years of recent experience in the field preferred
• Experience in an acute care facility preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards of care.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to develop care plans.
• Implement care plans and evaluate patient progress towards health outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and healing environment.
• Provide health education and learning opportunities for patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.

All associates must comply with safety and well-being requirements. Must be familiar with EMR systems, specifically EPIC and Cerner.
