Family Law Paralegal
Short term assignment in Wellesley, Ma. Family Law Paralegal job responsibilities include: Review and preparation of large volumes of documents in response to public information requests, subpoenas, and discovery. Prepare and review affidavits and other legal documents, and organize and maintain documents in electronic case and document management systems and in paper. Prepare for mediations and hearings by performing tasks such as organizing exhibits. Prepare, review and revise legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, pleadings, and contracts. Conduct legal research using electronic sources, including Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis, and analyze research, including statutes, legal opinions, legal articles, codes, and other documents. Investigate facts and search various sources, such as public records, to prepare cases. Legal Research - Knowledge of basic legal research principles, techniques and electronic resources. Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, case and document management systems, file and record organization, transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Computers and Electronics - Familiarity with computer hardware and knowledge of software, including applications.
