Alpha Inc. is looking for a Project Manager III who can run complex civil work without flinching, lead high-performing teams without ego, and turn pressure into progress.

This is not a clipboard-and-status-meeting role.

This is a command-the-work, coach-the-team, protect-the-margin, earn-the-client’s-trust kind of role.

You’ll oversee project managers and project engineers across multiple civil projects, driving execution from kickoff to closeout.

Schedules, budgets, manpower, materials, equipment, risk, safety, quality, client expectations — you’ll keep all of it moving in the right direction.

The right person for this seat knows how to lead from the field and the war room. You can zoom out to see the strategy, zoom in to solve the details, and keep people aligned when the stakes are high.

As Senior Project Manager, you won’t just manage projects. You’ll help set the standard for how Alpha delivers.

What You Will Do

Lead the Project Management Team

• You’ll lead, mentor, and manage project managers and project engineers across multiple civil projects. You’ll provide direction, remove roadblocks, coach decision-making, and help the team execute with clarity, confidence, and accountability.

Own Project Execution

• You’ll oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and delivery to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Alpha’s standards. You’ll make sure the work is not just moving — it’s moving smart.

Control the Budget, Protect the Margin

• You’ll monitor project financials, track expenditures, review forecasts, approve project-related expenses, and partner with the team to keep financial goals on track without sacrificing safety, quality, or client trust.

Coordinate Resources Like a Pro

• You’ll collaborate with project teams to ensure manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and schedules are aligned. When resources get tight, priorities shift, or field conditions change, you’ll bring order to the chaos.

Be the Escalation Point

• When complex issues surface, you’ll step in. Conflicts, client concerns, schedule impacts, quality issues, scope questions, team challenges — you’ll help solve the problem, not admire it.

Drive Client and Stakeholder Confidence

• You’ll maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, senior leadership, and internal teams. You’ll provide clear updates, address concerns early, and help make Alpha the contractor clients trust when the work matters.

Track Performance and Course-Correct Fast

• You’ll monitor milestones, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables across projects. When something starts drifting off track, you’ll see it early and take action.

Raise the Bar on Safety and Quality

• You’ll ensure projects comply with industry standards, client requirements, company policies, safety protocols, and applicable regulations. You’ll support a culture where safety is not a slogan — it’s how the work gets done.

Build Better Systems

• You’ll identify gaps in project management processes and help implement best practices that improve consistency, efficiency, communication, and execution across the team.

Develop Future Leaders

• You’ll train, coach, and develop project managers and engineers, creating a culture of continuous learning, ownership, and professional growth.

What You Bring

You are a builder of projects, people, and trust.

You know how to lead experienced professionals, hold standards without drama, and make decisions when the answer is not obvious. You’re organized, direct, calm under pressure, and allergic to excuses.

Experience

• 8–10+ years of project management experience in the construction industry , with significant experience in civil or heavy civil work strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing project managers, project engineers, or multi-project teams.
• Proven experience managing complex construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Strong background in project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, resource planning, documentation, risk management, and client communication.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• PMP, equivalent project management certification, or related professional credential is a plus.

Skills & Mindset

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to develop people and drive accountability.
• Excellent communication skills with field teams, project teams, clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Deep understanding of construction processes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, project controls, and quality expectations.
• Strong command of project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to anticipate problems, resolve conflicts, and make sound decisions in fast-moving environments.
• Strategic mindset with the discipline to execute at ground level.
