Project Coordinator - TelecommunicationsPosition Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support a telecommunications engineering and operations team responsible for delivering critical infrastructure projects across multiple locations. This role will serve as a key liaison between engineering, construction, operations, vendors, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and with the necessary resources in place. The ideal candidate will have strong project coordination experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Telecommunications industry experience is highly preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & Scheduling

• Coordinate and support telecommunications infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
• Schedule and facilitate project kick-off meetings with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment across multiple project teams and locations.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to support timely project execution.
• Coordinate site readiness activities, including permits, site access, safety requirements, and contractor readiness.
• Manage project documentation and ensure required approvals and submissions are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate communications between engineering, construction, operations, procurement, vendors, and leadership teams.
• Support outage planning and coordinate work windows with operational teams when required.

Material & Resource Management

• Assist with routing Bills of Material (BOMs) for quoting, procurement, and purchasing processes.
• Coordinate material deliveries and verify receipt with warehouse and receiving teams.
• Monitor inventory and consolidate materials from multiple orders to support project deployments.
• Ensure project resources, equipment, and materials are available according to project schedules.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate the printing, distribution, and organization of engineering drawings and project documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and filing systems.
• Support contractor onboarding activities, including scheduling required safety and site-access training.
• Track project action items and follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion.

Reporting & Project Analysis

• Prepare and distribute project status reports, dashboards, forecasts, and project updates.
• Collect and analyze project data to support planning, budgeting, and resource allocation efforts.
• Assist in project setup, work order creation, and project tracking within ERP systems such as SAP.
• Support financial tracking activities, including purchase orders, service entries, accruals, and budget-related reporting.
• Generate reports and documentation required for management reviews and project approvals.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or Project Support role.
• Experience supporting telecommunications, network infrastructure, construction, utilities, or engineering projects.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience working with project schedules, project documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Telecommunications industry experience.
• Experience supporting fiber, wireless, network infrastructure, or telecommunications construction projects.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP/project management systems.
• Familiarity with project scheduling tools and project lifecycle methodologies.
• Experience creating dashboards, status reports, and budget tracking reports.

Work Environment

• Primarily onsite with flexibility to support project activities at various locations as needed.
• Occasional inter-island travel may be required to support project initiatives and stakeholder coordination.
• Fast-paced environment supporting multiple concurrent telecommunications projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
