Food Services Leader (Part-Time)

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Come and be a part of an organization where you can work and have fun at the same time! Our Food Services team is currently seeking a Part-Time Food Service Leader for our Concession operations.

Under limited supervision, this position will lead and coordinate the activities and operations of our food service Concession areas. This will include supervising Food Service Associates in the preparation of food, ensuring excellent customer service, while adhering to all Toledo Zoo policies and procedures maintaining cleanliness and safety of food service areas.

This position reports to the Senior Food Services Manager- Concessions, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over forty (40) in a work week.

Minimum Training & Qualifications:

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Prefer 1-2 years of experience in food service supervision or an equivalent combination of culinary training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Certification in food service sanitation a plus.
• Candidates must be able to take direction, work independently and multi-task.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are a plus.
• Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be outdoors for several hours at a time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to be insured through Zoo fleet carrier.
• Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
