HTF Staffing is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for an immediate full-time opportunity in Joliet, Illinois, supporting students in grades 6–8.

POSITION DETAILS

• Position: Special Education Teacher
• Location: Joliet, IL 60433
• Grade Levels: 6th–8th Grade
• Assignment: Co-teaching Math and ELA
• Caseload: 12–14 students
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: May 28
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, in person
• Hours: 7:50 AM – 3:00 PM
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Positions Available: 1

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide specialized instruction and support to middle school students with disabilities.
• Co-teach Math and ELA classes alongside general education teachers.
• Develop and implement instruction aligned with students' IEPs.
• Monitor student progress and provide appropriate accommodations and modifications.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student documentation.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Experience with co-teaching Math and/or ELA is a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers and school staff.
