About the Role CBRE Energy is the energy advisory practice within CBRE, delivering sophisticated services to corporate clients and renewable energy developers across energy procurement, M&A, tax equity, power purchase agreements (PPAs), community solar, distributed generation, and battery energy storage. Our mission is to help clients navigate the complexity of energy markets, unlock value through innovative transactions, and advance their commercial and sustainability objectives. We are seeking a Manager, Group Operations to serve as the operational backbone of our growing advisory practice. This role owns the end-to-end execution of the team's day-to-day infrastructure, including revenue operations and cash management, accounts payable and procurement, vendor and contract lifecycle management, compliance, office and team operations, and executive communications support. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented operator who thrives on building structure, documenting process, and serving as the institutional knowledge holder for a fast-moving advisory practice. You will partner closely with business leadership and external counterparties to ensure deals close cleanly, cash collects on time, vendors are managed efficiently, and the team operates with rigor and consistency. What You’ll Do Revenue Recognition and Reporting: Partner with finance on revenue recognition for closed deals, including collection of deal documentation, validation of closed amounts, and audit of payment terms to ensure alignment with executed agreements; monitor the CRM pipeline and own post-deal reconciliation between booked revenue and executed contracts. Cash Forecasting, Invoicing, and Collections: Build and maintain multi-year cash collection views by service line and across the broader business unit, updating models in response to milestone shifts and surfacing collection risks to leadership; generate and issue invoices in line with contract terms, monitor accounts receivable aging, and reconcile cash receipts against the bank activity file from treasury; coordinate with developers and counterparties on payment status and draft demand letters as needed. Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices through the corporate procurement system, resolve discrepancies, and track approvals; manage purchase order creation and goods receipt processes; identify accruals, calculate period-close amounts, and coordinate with finance on close cycles. Supplier and Vendor Management: Initiate supplier requests and coordinate risk assessments; manage new supplier onboarding, including timelines, internal approvals, and vendor-side communication of requirements; manage subscription and contract renewals by assessing needs, negotiating terms, and routing approvals; maintain a master view of subscription costs, owners, and renewal dates. Contract Lifecycle Management: Drive execution of NDAs, CSAs, DSAs, fee letters, framework agreements, consulting agreements, and partnership agreements with internal signatories and counterparties; maintain monthly tracking of termination dates across all signed contracts, flag upcoming renewals, and coordinate with the contract owner to execute on time; ensure all contracts and supporting documents are organized and accessible on SharePoint. Office and Team Operations: Manage day-to-day operational matters, including office upkeep, equipment maintenance, security and visitor coordination, and general administration; plan and coordinate team gifts, events, offsites, and the logistics of the monthly team meeting; maintain the new-hire onboarding toolkit, provision access to files, tools, systems, and workspace, coordinate corporate card setup, and manage team access provisioning and deprovisioning across all systems. Executive Communications and Leadership Support: Build and update leadership decks on a semi-annual cadence, summarizing changes to terminology, pipeline, organization, and strategy; manage team-wide communications and announcements; run monthly team meetings, including the production of a fully completed slide deck. Knowledge Management and Process Documentation: Create and maintain standard operating procedures and process guides; serve as the team's institutional knowledge holder; document internal workflows, including procurement and invoicing processes; own SharePoint and file organization across the business unit. Regulatory and Audit Compliance: Manage compliance and registration requirements across all regulatory regimes relevant to the business, including state-level registrations and industry-specific oversight bodies; support audits and ongoing reporting obligations by coordinating with auditors, accounting, and external advisors to provide documentation and activity backup. What You’ll Need Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. 5–8 years of operations experience, ideally within professional services, energy, Working knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, and cash forecasting. Demonstrated experience managing procurement and vendor lifecycles using enterprise procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, or comparable systems). Hands‑on familiarity with HubSpot or a comparable CRM and pipeline management system. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle workstreams across finance, legal, HR, and office operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort building executive‑ready presentations. Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, build standard operating procedures from scratch, and operate with high autonomy. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint. Location: New York City, New York Travel: Travel requirement up to 10% CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Group Operations Manager position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $120,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
