Pre-Litigation Medical Records Specialist

West Palm Beach, FL | Temporary-to-Hire | In-Office

A well-established Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm in West Palm Beach is seeking a Pre-Litigation Medical Records Specialist to join its growing team in a temporary-to-hire capacity.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior law firm experience who enjoys organization, follow-through, and working behind the scenes to keep cases moving. The firm is looking for someone who wants to grow, as this position has the potential to develop into a Legal Assistant role over time.

Compensation:

• Temporary: $21.00-$24.00 per hour (W-2)
• Permanent: $25.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Request, retrieve, and follow up on medical records and billing statements from healthcare providers
• Track outstanding record requests and ensure timely receipt of records
• Organize, review, and upload medical records into the firm's case management system
• Maintain accurate documentation of requests, correspondence, and provider communications
• Communicate professionally with medical offices, clients, and internal staff
• Assist the pre-litigation team with case support and other administrative tasks as needed
• Help ensure files remain organized and up to date throughout the life of each case

Qualifications

• Previous law firm experience is required
• Prior Plaintiff Personal Injury experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with Arctrieval (medical records retrieval platform) is a plus, but not required . The firm is happy to train the right candidate.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
