About the Position

Job Title: OR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience required License: Virginia nursing license active and in hand required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred Must-Have: Proficiency in all specialties, particularly ortho, breast/plastics, urology, GYN, and general surgery Description: We are seeking a proficient OR RN for a 13-week assignment. The role involves working in the Operating Room with surgical cases including general, GYN, breast/plastics, urology, ortho, and podiatry. The schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts from 07:00 to 15:30. There are no weekend or holiday shifts required. Late stay sign-up for call may be necessary. The average daily census in the unit is 35 patients. The team consists of 6 operating rooms. The position requires certification in BLS, with ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred. Two years of experience as an OR RN is mandatory. The flu vaccine is required during flu season, with medical exemptions only. The facility maintains a smoke/nicotine-free policy. All candidates must have an active Virginia nursing license at the time of submission. Submissions must include a statement of EPIC experience, if applicable. This position may require float to the main OR as needed. Expect to work some holidays, with time off approved at management discretion.
