Senior Financial Analyst

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a top financial-services and credit-union client. This individual will join an evolving finance organization and play a key role in strengthening its FP&A, forecasting, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities. The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with business leaders to analyze complex financial and operational data, build scalable models and dashboards, automate reporting processes, and provide actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong traditional FP&A expertise with hands-on data analytics and visualization experience and is comfortable presenting insights to executive stakeholders. - Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities across the organization

- Partner with department leaders to develop financial assumptions, forecasts, and performance targets

- Build and maintain financial models, forecasting tools, scenario analyses, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions

- Extract, transform, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple systems

- Perform variance, profitability, and trend analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers

- Develop business intelligence solutions that improve visibility into financial performance and KPIs

- Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, financial packages, and strategic recommendations

- Support business cases, strategic initiatives, ad hoc analyses, and management requests

- Help create and automate new finance processes as the department continues to scale

- Revamp existing reporting and forecasting processes, with significant transformation work expected during the first 6 to 12 months

- Improve the standardization, accuracy, timeliness, and scalability of financial reporting

- Collaborate across finance and operational teams to improve business performance and decision-making

Skills and Requirements

- 5 to 8 or more years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, business intelligence, accounting, or a related finance function

o 3 years of experience within banking, credit unions, or a closely related financial-services environment

o Strong traditional FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, profitability analysis, and financial reporting

o Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

- Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large financial and operational data sets from multiple systems

o Hands-on business intelligence and data-visualization experience using Power BI and/or Tableau

o Ability to develop dashboards, automated reports, forecasting models, scenario models, and executive-level financial packages

- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to present to executive level leadership

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting, analytics, or a related field - Experience with Axiom, including Axiom tools within the Strata platform

- Experience with Prologue general-ledger tools

- Familiarity with Jack Henry Symitar core banking systems

- SQL knowledge

Compensation:

$97-120K annually

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
