Senior Financial Analyst

Kforce's client, a mission-driven organization in NYC, is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-range financial planning. This individual will partner closely with finance leadership and collaborate across multiple departments to provide strategic financial insights, manage grant-funded budgets, and support data-driven decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly analytical finance professional who enjoys working with large datasets, developing financial models, and partnering with business stakeholders to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage grant and program-level budgets
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and multi-year financial planning activities
• Analyze budget-to-actual performance and provide actionable recommendations
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and variance analyses for leadership
• Monitor spending, cash flow, and funding utilization to ensure compliance with financial guidelines
• Maintain and enhance financial models, reporting tools, and forecasting methodologies
• Partner with departments across the organization to gather, validate, and analyze financial data
• Create ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements within financial reporting and planning functions
• Provide analytical support related to billing operations and grant-funded programs
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or reporting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas
• Experience working with large datasets and financial reporting tools
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Experience within a nonprofit or grant-funded environment
• Knowledge of grants administration, contract funding, and billing practices
• Experience with NetSuite, Financial Edge, Vena Solutions, or similar financial systems
• Exposure to government-funded programs and compliance reporting
